Admission Counselor
The Admission Counselor's
primary task is to generate inquiries, applications, interviews,
campus visits and commitment fees for all student populations in
assigned market area(s). Additional responsibilities include
developing leads, attaining goals for market area(s), meeting with
parents and students on or off campus, visiting feeder high schools
and community colleges, and attending college day/night programs.
Telecounseling is required to develop leads during the recruiting
season and peak periods. The Admission Counselor communicates the
features and benefits of attending a four-year liberal arts
university and demonstrates how financial aid creates access to such
an education.

Program
Developer/Director of Nursing
Schreiner
University seeks applicants for a new position of Program
Developer/Director of Nursing. This is a full-time, tenure-track
faculty position, requiring a minimum of a registered nurse who
holds a doctorate degree in nursing and who is familiar with
procedures and policies necessary to develop a bachelor of nursing
degree program. The successful applicant will be expected to 1)
develop a traditional (not on-line) curriculum for a Bachelor’s
Degree in Nursing, meeting the standards of the CCNE and the Texas
Board of Nurse Examiners, following University procedures for new
course approval and leading to approval of the degree, 2) establish
the application process, 3) recruit faculty and students into the
program, 4) make budget recommendations, 5) seek external funds for
provisioning a new nursing laboratory as necessary, and 6)
coordinate with local health care facilities as practice partners.
Although this position is initially an administrative
one, teaching is the University’s primary mission, and this position
is expected to assume half-time teaching responsibilities as the
program is activated. Scholarly activity, student advising, and
service to the University and community are also expected. Review
of applicants will begin immediately, with the expectation that the
position will be filled by July 1, 2009.
