As part of our
university’s continuing effort to promote “zero tolerance” of
unethical conduct in the workplace, the University offers
employees the Campus Conduct Hotline©. It is
designed to minimize any apprehension an employee may have and
make it possible for an employee to report concerns about
possible violations of the institution’s Code of Ethics and
employment policies.
The University continues its commitment to having an open door
policy and encourages all employees to report concerns to their
supervisor, departmental Vice President, the Director of Human
Resources or the President of the University.
If an employee has a question or concern about a possible
violation of our Code of Ethics or employment policies, they may
contact InTouch Services toll-free at 866-943-5787.
Once the employee has dialed the toll-free number, here is how
the reporting and follow-up processes work:
• The call
will be greeted promptly and courteously by a person who
makes certain the employee understands the Campus
Conduct Hotline© program and how it functions. An
employee may make a report in a language other than English.
• At the beginning of the interview, the employee will be
provided with a five digit, randomly generated case number
that they should use to check back for updates and requests
for additional information.
• The employee will then be interviewed about their question
or concern.
• The interview will not be recorded. Instead, the
interviewer will be typing notes of the conversation.
Whether or not the employee chooses to provide their name is
completely up to them.
• Within one business-day of the call, a summary of the
interview will be forwarded to Schreiner University. The
goal will be to have a basic response back to the employee
in five business days.
• To receive a response, the employee will need to call back
and provide the five digit case number that has been
assigned. At that time, the employee might be asked to
provide additional information or to call back at a later
date. The employee will be able to keep checking back for
updates until the case is closed.
Because of the
built-in confidentiality, it is important that employees try to
be as specific as possible about the information provided.
Schreiner University is committed to maintaining the highest
ethical standards in our workplace. If an employee experiences
or observes what they believe is inappropriate behavior and feel
they have exhausted all other reporting avenues, they should use
the Campus Conduct Hotline© to report it.
